Dancing has always been my great love and passion.
I started my ballet training when I was just five years old. When my professional ballet career at PACT Ballet Company ended in 1997, I went in search of something equally fulling and challenging, and found the beautiful flow art of fire dancing and, more recently, hooping and hoop dancing.
To bring variety to my fire dancing performance, I use different fire toys such as poi, fire fingers, fire fans, palm candles and the fire hoop. I also dance with ribbons and flags as a daytime performance option.
I perform either on my own or with other experienced performers. In the last 15 years, I’ve danced countrywide at corporate events, weddings, award ceremonies, private functions as well as some really big stage productions. Special occasions where I have performed include The Feather Awards Gala event, Wesbank’s awards ceremony, the Nedbank Million Dollar Golf Challenge at Sun City, the EOH year-end production at Gallagher Estate, the ICC in Durban, Ultra South Africa and Carnival City’s 20th birthday celebration show Dis ‘n Sirkus.
